Stan Blackley

Before establishing Portable PR in July 2000, Stan Blackley spent more than a decade working in media and political relations, communications and campaigning roles for a number of UK and global campaigning groups, charities and non-governmental organisations, including Greenpeace UK, the Environmental Investigation Agency and the Scottish Wildlife Trust.

Stan is the owner and sole Director of Portable PR, but works closely with a network of specialist associates, who sub-contract work to each other through Portable PR’s internal market, using each other as-and-when-required for any specialist or specific project, contract or piece of work.

Stan serves as a Director on the Boards of a number of other media-related businesses, as well as a Social Inclusion Partnership and Friends of the Earth (Scotland). He is also a member the Scottish Green Party's ruling Council and Operations Committee.

In his limited spare time, Stan enjoys outdoor pursuits (such as hill walking, rock climbing and scuba-diving), playing the guitar, cooking and eating fish and relaxing with a coffee and cryptic crossword.
