Case study: The Woodland Trust

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. It has over 300,000 members and manages over 1,000 woodland sites throughout the UK. Portable PR has enjoyed a close and positive relationship with The Woodland Trust since the summer of 2005.

Portable PR personnel have provided strategic public and media relations advice and services, and press office cover, for The Woodland Trust, and have worked on a variety of the organisation's initiatives, including:

- Trafalgar Woods (web link)
- Planting over 250,000 trees to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.

- BBC Springwatch / BBC Autumnwatch (web links)
- Run with the BBC, these surveys assist scientists in understanding the effects of climate change.

- Christmas Card Recycling Scheme (web link)
- This scheme encourages members of the public to recycle their Christmas cards each January.

- Tree For All (web link)
- This project is the most ambitious childrens' tree-planting project ever launched in the UK.
